Reading to Kindergarten

 Second graders finished their How-To books and decided to read their final product to kindergarteners! We stopped by Mrs. Lunt and Miss Chmielewski’s kindergarten classes to pair up with a younger student and share our work. We love being the “big kids” who are able to model excellent work, mature behavior, and build community in our pod. Here are some pictures of that day!

Aviator Research Projects

 We’ve been so impressed with how engaged second graders have been with their unit on aviation! They had a chance to choose a famous aviator to research, read lots of sources on their selection, take notes, and make a finished writing project to show what they’ve learned! We had a great time as a whole second grade level sharing our projects with Mrs. Andringa’s second grade class on Friday. Here are some pictures of our sharing time!

 Last week was a big one with TWO field trips! We went to Christopher Farm and Gardens on Tuesday, and the Sheboygan Historical Museum on Wednesday. These are just a few pictures from the many we got on each day! Thanks again to all the wonderful parent chaperones who joined us on these fun trips.
