We are so proud of our class for their hard work on display at the nonfiction reading museum! Thank you for your support of their learning. Here are a few pictures of that event. :)
What a blessing it was to see God’s blessing to generations of family members as our second graders welcomed Grandparents last week! I tried to make it around to everyone for a snapshot. Here are some of those pictures from the visit!
Mr. Hendrikse’s high school environmental science class welcomed second graders into their lab last week to investigate the diversity of a local wetland habitat: Pigeon River! Students got to study water samples and observe the living things found there, noting that the presence of certain species indicated how healthy the water quality was (high school students helped us with that part!). We loved this time to collaborate and enjoy God’s creation while considering why it’s important to care for it too! Here are a few pictures from that day.
Did you know that second graders worship God as a group three times a week? We sing each Monday morning for devotions with the other second grade class, we sing with the whole K-2 each Wednesday morning in the pod space, and worship during chapel each Friday morning. We pray that these times of singing will both glorify God and grow your child in their walk with Him. Ask your second graders if they can sing “Behold What Manner” or “Micah 6:8” at dinner time for your family!
