God Worshipers

Image
Did you know that second graders worship God as a group three times a week? We sing each Monday morning for devotions with the other second grade class, we sing with the whole K-2 each Wednesday morning in the pod space, and worship during chapel each Friday morning. We pray that these times of singing will both glorify God and grow your child in their walk with Him. Ask your second graders if they can sing “Behold What Manner” or “Micah 6:8” at dinner time for your family!

5th Grade Reading Buddies

We had the chance to put our fluency skills to the test by reading with fifth grade buddies! We love connecting with older students and seeing the relationships between grade levels develop.

Here we are building examples of different polygons with noodles, noting that they are closed shapes with 3 or more straight sides. Here are a few pictures of building time in action.

This can happen often at Christmas time with presents, celebrations, and lots of fun. It was beautiful to hear kids reflect on enjoying good gifts from God without fixating on them as their source of joy. Read some of our class reflections below. We are so proud of how their Christian minds are developing to be thoughtful about what brings God glory. We also saw your students share the love of Jesus with our Grandfriends at Pine Haven, singing Christmas carols the week before break. We see God’s hand in your children and are thankful to be back learning with them agai...
